What happened to ABC News' Dr. Tim Johnson?

We liked surveillance Dr. Tim Johnson’s reports on ABC nightly news. He’s been gone for a few weeks now and ABC has had a different Chief Medical Editor on the program. Dr. Tim Johnson is still on their website and I can’t find any news tales about him retiring, be fired or being reassigned. Does anyone know his status?

ABC News announced in late July that it had hired Dr. Richard Besser as senior health and medical editor and Dr. Tim Johnson became chief medical editor. So Johnson is still at ABC News.
